Our Risk team is currently seeking an experienced professional to manage and oversee our Operational Risk function for BMW Financial Services Australia and New Zealand.

What awaits you?

The Operational Risk Manager is responsible for identifying, managing and steering effective operational risk preventative processes and controls in line with applicable legislation, internal policies and guidelines. The role involves but is not limited to:

• Continually evaluating the business through 2nd line monitoring and implementing effective plans to track, report and prevent operational risks within the company.
• Provide training and support to the Operational Risk Delegate network.
• Manage the company’s Key Risk Indicators, including highlighting areas of concern to senior management.
• Maintain the company Business Continuity Management plan, including regular updates and co-ordinating annual testing.
• Managing the company’s Internal Controls, including implementing local frameworks, policies and instructions.
• Provide regular operational risk management reporting and be an active participant in the monthly National Risk Committee.

What you should bring along?    

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher education qualification in Business, Finance, Accounting or related equivalent discipline required.
• 10 years’ experience in the retail finance industry and consumer lending.
• Knowledge of automotive financing would be an advantage.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to adapt to various stakeholders.
