The Opportunity
Our Business Analytics team is looking for a motivated Data Analytics Graduate who is eager to learn and develop their skills.
In this role, you will support various departments by assisting with reporting, data analysis, and business insights. The primary focus will be to extract data from different sources, create dashboards, and generate reports to support decision-making.
What awaits you?
- Develop and maintain operational dashboards tailored to the specific needs of each team, providing them with access to key performance indicators (KPIs) and insights to enable data-driven decision-making.
- Utilise ETL (extract, transform, load) techniques to extract data from various sources into usable formats for reporting and self-serve data marts, while ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Proactively identify and troubleshoot issues through root cause analysis, promptly resolving them to minimise any disruptions to reporting processes.
- Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to understand their reporting requirements, providing timely and insightful responses to ad-hoc queries to support decision-making.
- Maintain documentation for reporting processes, data dictionaries, and regularly update and improve these to ensure clarity and alignment with reporting needs.
- Support business-as-usual reporting processes, including KPI reporting to Regional and Central teams.
Qualifications & Experience
- A tertiary qualification in Business Analytics, Commerce, Actuarial, Econometrics, Mathematics, STEM or related discipline required.
- Demonstrated experience in data analytics and reporting, with a strong foundation in interpreting data and generating insightful reports.
- Proficient in basic programming and data visualisation including Tableau, SQL and MS Office Suite.
- Possess a strong analytical mindset with the aptitude to identify and analyse data and trends.
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, consistently meet deadlines, and deliver high-quality results.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with exceptional attention to detail and an ability to problem solve.
